Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express
Traversing the expanse of Russia, from Moscow to Vladivostok, the Trans- Siberian railway line covers 9,000km, passing through eight time zones and 80 towns and cities. Highlights of the journey include Kazan and its Unescoprotected kremlin; Novosibirsk; Irkutsk, the capital of Siberia; and a barbecue on the beach of Lake Baikal, the world’s largest freshwater lake.
Travel in comfort aboard the Golden Eagle train, which offers Gold and Silver Class cabins and Imperial Suites. Gold Class cabins are 7 sq metres and feature en suite bathrooms with power showers and underfloor heating, DVD / audio systems and individual climate control. Silver Class cabins have similar facilities in a more compact space of 6 sq metres. The Imperial Suite has a space of 11 sq metres and contains a fixed double bed and lounge area with dressing table. The Golden Eagle features a lounge-bar car and a restaurant car, which serves local delicacies and international cuisine.

Your captivating full-day tour of this magnificent city begins this morning with a visit to the Kremlin Territory and its State Armoury; the oldest museum in Russia and home to a vast collection of precious stones and other priceless artefacts. You’ll also see Red Square, Lenin’s Tomb and the vibrant St. Basil’s cathedral, before making your way to Moscow Kazansky Station where you can enjoy a cold glass of Russian Champagne and canapes before embarking on the Golden Eagle.

In Kazan
Situated on the River Volga, the picturesque and historic city of Kazan – the capital of Tatarstan – has a rich tapestry of history and culture. One of the highlights of your tour today is the Kremlin Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Within the walls of this ancient citadel, you’ll explore its stunning mosque and picture-perfect cathedral. Later, you’ll enjoy a private concert of Feodor Chaliapin’s music – one of Russia’s most famous opera singers who was born in Kazan.
